Gabourey Sidibe’s husband slams comments telling actress to ‘keep it sexy’

Gabourey Sidibe’s husband has no time for haters, especially when it comes to his wife.

After someone left a comment on one of Brandon Frankel’s recent posts saying Sidibe, 41, looks “homeless,” he stood up for his wife, without her knowing.

On Saturday, November 16, the proud husband and father shared a photo on Instagram of the “loves of my life” — aka Sidibe and the couple’s seven-month-old twins, Cooper and Maya.

In response to the message, in which the American horror story alum wearing shorts, a patterned shirt and a bandana in her hair, one commenter wrote: ‘Gabby I know you have babies now❤️❤️❤️ but keep it sexy you [sic] look respectfully homeless.”

Frankel, simply put, wasn’t having it. He wrote two separate replies, starting with: “Disrespectful, I know you don’t talk.”

He also instructed the commenter to “find a therapist ASAP, you’re not well,” before also correcting their grammar: “And it’s *you’re brilliant.”

Sidibe was seemingly unaware of the heated exchange until someone shared a screenshot of it on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote: “@GabbySidibe’s husband? Oh, he’s not PLAYING. 🤭.”

The Wonderful actress shared the X post on Friday, November 22, writing: “Oh s—! I wasn’t even aware of this exchange.”

“My husband knows I like to mind my business, what people say about me,” she continued. “He collects it and keeps it for himself. An attentive king.”

In the caption of Frankel’s family post, he also wrote a sweet message to Sidibe and their twins, whom they welcomed in April.

“The loves of my life,” he wrote. “No matter how hard things get, or how crazy the world gets, the way you all light up when you see me just warms my heart. I love you the most ❤️🥰😭.”

Frankel and Sidibe married in 2021 after meeting on a dating app, the actress revealed Live with Kelly and Ryan end of 2022.

After the surprise announcement, Frankel posted a sweet message on Instagram alongside photos of the couple showing off their wedding bling.

“SURPRISE! I can finally publicly call her my WIFE!” he wrote. “Since @gabby3shabby finally let the word out today on Live with Kelly and Ryan, we have been MARRIED since March ’21! Relieved, we can finally tell the world.”

“So grateful to have found my forever person, my partner-in-crime and the love of my life,” Frankel continued. “Every day is the best day with you. No one I would rather raise cats and be in bed with at 8 p.m. I love you forever.”
